AIQ Core and AIQ Detect are the latest offerings designed to reduce costs and extend the operating time of the equipment they are intended for.
AIQ Core
The AIQ Core device, specifically developed for Flender gearboxes, enables continuous monitoring. Speed, temperature, and vibrations are measured by sensors and processed through advanced algorithms. The system can detect minor irregularities, assess component conditions, and verify the correct alignment of the drive system. This proactive approach saves time and allows issues to be addressed before they lead to serious damage.
The system records operating times, facilitating the planning of maintenance intervals based on this data. As a result, the service life of the oil can be extended by up to 50%, leading to lower maintenance and operational costs.
AIQ Core can be connected to a device in multiple ways: directly via cable or by transmitting data to the AIQ Online portal via Wi-Fi.
AIQ Detect
The second device introduced by Flender is AIQ Detect. This sensor transforms flexible couplings into smart components within an industrial facility. It is specifically designed for N-EUPEX and RUPEX couplings. The digital coupling sensor monitors the wear condition of elastomers, measures the direction of rotation, and tracks speed. This enables continuous supervision of the coupling’s condition, enhancing operational reliability and reducing unplanned downtime.
With AIQ Detect, users always have real-time insight into the status of their coupling, allowing for timely action. Early fault detection helps prevent equipment failures before they escalate. Another advantage of this sensor is eliminating the need for annual elastomer inspections, saving both time and money in maintenance.
Instead of regularly replacing elastomers, targeted replacements can be performed only when necessary. Once the elastomers reach their wear limit, the sensor signals a status change, providing ample time to schedule maintenance. This approach is not only cost-effective but also sustainable.
The wear status of elastomers is directly displayed on the sensor via a color LED bar. Additionally, the status can be checked through the AIQ app via Bluetooth or monitored online via the AIQ portal.
AIQ Detect can be ordered with new couplings or as an upgrade for couplings already in use.
