Drives in the paper manufacturing process
The reliability of drive systems is crucial to the smooth operation of a paper mill.
Every stage of production requires precision-operated gearboxes and electric motors that drive the machines for processing raw materials, forming, drying and pressing the paper
Drives at the paper production stages – service and maintenance
1. Preparation of raw materials and mixing
Mills, pulpers and fibre separators are responsible for shredding wood and waste paper. We service the gearboxes that drive these machines, check lubrication levels, and replace worn components such as bearings and shafts.
2. Paper forming
Forming machines filter the water out of the pulp to form sheets of paper. We inspect press roller drives, maintain gearboxes and recondition friction elements to ensure even paper formation.
3. Paper drying
Drying rollers and ventilation systems eliminate moisture from the sheets. We service roller drives, monitor the condition of seals and optimise lubrication systems.
4. Paper ironing and smoothing
At this stage, the paper is pressed and ironed to give it the desired structure and weight. We offer remanufacturing of cylindrical press gears, replacement of gears and diagnostics of electric motors.
5. Paper cutting and packaging
The cutting and packaging machines are responsible for giving the product its final form. We provide servicing of cutting machine drives, reconditioning of shafts and transport rollers, and maintenance of gears responsible for cutting precision.
6. Transport and auxiliary systems
Pumps, fans and transport systems are responsible for operating the production line. We service the drives of these systems, provide maintenance of the electric motors and technical inspection of the gearboxes.
