FAQ

Vibration can be the result of improper balancing, worn bearings or problems with the gear unit foundation.

One should:
• Check that the gear unit and its foundations are properly fixed.
• Check the coupling, if fitted
• If an inverter is used, check the operating parameters
• Switch the machine off and report the problem to STERNET service for vibration analysis and accurate diagnostics.

Oil leaks may indicate seal wear or housing damage.

We recommend the following:
• Immediately switch off the device to avoid possible damage.
• Check the oil level and top up if necessary
• Check the gasket and replace it if necessary
• Has the transport protection of the vent been removed?
• Check ambient conditions (e.g. operation in continuous exposure to sunlight)
• Contact STERNET service for inspection and seal replacement.

This may be due to damage to the coupling, gears or shafts.

In that case:
• Immediately switch the machine off in order to avoid possible damage.
• Check the coupling, if fitted
• Contact STERNET service for inspection and necessary repairs.
